Hello, I am an emerging writer, blogging since 2014 and started working with a writing coach in 2019.
I write CreativeNon-Fiction and Lyrical Essay.
I am fascinated in how the revision process for me, reveals and opens up what I really am saying!
I also love exploring the relationship between landscape/time and the story.
I have had pieces published in Hags on Fire, Long Shot Books, Northern Appalachia Review. I am on the blog time for Christians Practicing Yoga and have an occasional byline in my city newspaper, The Tribune-Democrat.
In my working life, I am a Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher and I partner in many community based settings applying yoga as a support for regulation and integration of the central nervous system for survivors of various traumas.
I led training in Resilience Building/Cultivating Empathy and Compassion/Trauma and Mindfulness nationally and internationally and now on Zoom!
Music is the central part of my life and I also write songs and little chants that I call medicine bundles.
I lead music and movement practices at various conferences/retreats nationally and internationally and now virtually.
Music is woven through all my trauma work and I also for the last 17 years, have worked as a Certified Music Practitioner applying Celtic harp and voice at the bedside for patients and families in hospice.
I occasionally perform solo
I live in SW Pa with my husband of 22 years, an avid urban homesteader, and our feisty Japanese Chin dog. We have two adult children and two grand-babies.
